Mission The mission of the Foundation is to financially support Philadelphia organizations that help those struggling daily with the effects of poverty. The Foundation is interested in encouraging practical and caring solutions to community problems by supporting preventive and direct service efforts. The Patricia Kind Family Foundation operates no programs of its own, but performs its mission by funding proven approaches from non-profit 501(c)3 organizations. Through direct program and mission related investments we strive to have the greatest possible impact with all of our assets.Funding The Patricia Kind Family Foundation only accepts applications, supporting documentation, and grant reports online. Most giving is in the range of $10,000 to $25,000/year for a one to three year period. We encourage organizations to apply for multi-year general operating support funds. Site visits are done on all programs selected for possible funding and, if possible, the Trustees want to see the program “in action”.
