About We are committed to centering the experiences of those who are most impacted by the issues our region faces, and to widening access to our resources (both monetary and non-monetary) to ensure they are distributed equitably. Our Mission As a community-centered, equity forward institution, our mission is to improve the quality of life for those negatively impacted by inequitable systems across our region, so that we can be a region in which everyone can belong, participate, contribute, and thrive. Our Approach The Community Foundation, in collaboration with donors and community-based organizations, facilitates effective and impactful grant making, philanthropy, scholarships, and other forms of non-monetary support while being responsive to the ever-changing needs of our region. Party Parade Fund Grants to organizations for projects in the Charlottesville-Albemarle area, and surrounding counties, for innovative and continuing projects designed to meet the needs of children or adults in the community.

Eligibility

Grants are open for projects taking place in the city of Charlottesville, or the counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Nelson, and Orange, and are made without regard to factors of sex, race, religion or national origin.
