Park City and Summit County Childcare Scholarships

Overview: Local childcare scholarships funded by Park City ($1 million) and Summit County ($130,000) investments to support the stability of the local childcare industry and make care more affordable for families.

Scholarship Types:

    Resident Scholarship

    Eligibility:
  • At least one parent/guardian is a Summit County resident
  • Children up to kindergarten eligibility age (turned 5 before September 2)
  • Household income less than 100% of Summit County's Area Median Income
  • Child enrolled in regulated child care provider in Summit County
  • Households must contribute 10% of household income to childcare per month

Award Amount:

  • Needs-based, determined case-by-case

  • Ensures family contribution + DWS subsidy = greater of actual tuition or $1,700/month
    • Workforce Scholarship

      Eligibility:
    • Summit County resident or workforce
    • Children up to kindergarten eligibility age
    • Household income less than 100% of Summit County Area Median Income
    • Child enrolled in regulated child care provider in Summit County

    Award Amount:

  • $200 per child, per month
    • Park City Municipal Employee Scholarship

      Eligibility:
    • Employed by Park City Municipal
    • Children up to kindergarten eligibility age (turned 5 before September 2)
    • No income requirements

    Award Amount:

  • $200 per child, per month
    • Summit County Provider Incentive

      For: Summit County-based childcare providers Award Amount:
    • $300 per month, per child to serve children whose families receive DWS subsidy
