Summary
The Papal Foundation Grants provide essential funding to Roman Catholic charities and educational organizations in developing nations. These grants are endorsed by the Holy See and support various projects, including shelters for the homeless, hospitals, and pro-life programs. Since its inception in 1988, over $70 million has been awarded to help communities in need, showcasing the Foundation's commitment to responding to urgent needs and sustaining the Holy Father's mission globally.Overview
Note: The Office of the Assessore receives proposals up to the deadline above Please follow the process described in steps 1 to 4. The Papal Foundation does not accept requests directly. Contact your local Bishop or the Superior of your religious congregation and submit the grant request to them. With the support of the local Bishop or Superior, the proposal is then forwarded to the Apostolic Nuncio of the country in which the project is located. Papal Foundation Each day requests for help pour into the Vatican from every corner of the world. The Papal Foundation offers Catholics in America a unique opportunity to assist the Holy Father in responding with God's love, grace and abundance. In isolated mountain communities, developing countries and urban slums, the Church is hard at work delivering care and sharing the faith with vulnerable people. The needs are urgent and persistent. Each Steward of St. Peter makes a $1 million donation to a carefully managed fund that annually delivers a portion of its resources to support the Holy Father's responses. Over $70 million has been awarded in grants and scholarships to projects and students all over the world. As Christians living in abundance, we search for ways to respond to the needs of brothers and sisters. Sometimes we can become overwhelmed with the options for giving. What better way to share our blessings than by working directly with the Holy Father as he shepherds and comforts God's people? Our Grants Each year the Board of Trustees designates a portion of the proceeds from the Papal Foundation’s endowment to fund projects and programs of particular interest to the Holy Father. The award may be a small, one-time donation to make repairs to a damaged church or a large, multi-year initiative to teach faithful Catholics how to participate successfully in Church’s new evangelization efforts. As reports flow in from around the world, we see the impact that the right resources prayerfully given can have on communities, parishes and the future of the Church.Eligibility
