About the Award Dr. Eric Andreasen strove to conduct exceptionally sound scientific research that would have lasting societal impacts. To honor Dr. Andreasen's life and scientific accomplishments, an endowed SOT travel award was created in his name. The Andreasen Award recognizes an outstanding graduate student and post-doctoral scholar that best exemplifies the qualities of scientific excellence and leadership exhibited by Dr. Andreasen. The recipient of the Dr. Eric A. Andreasen Graduate Travel Award for Excellence in Research and scholarship will receive support to present their research at the national Society of Toxicology meeting. Award Details: The Andreasen Award will recognize an outstanding graduate student and post-doctoral scholar who best embodies Dr. Andreasen's scientific excellence and leadership. The recipient will receive a certificate and a $1,200 cash award.Eligibility

Have a SOT membership level of a graduate student or postdoctoral member Must be a member of the Pacific Northwest Association of Toxicologists (PANWAT) or the Midwest Regional Chapter (MRC) in good standing (all dues paid) Be able to attend the PANWAT reception at the annual SOT meeting to receive the awardGraduate Student: academic background, scientific merit, the potential for research impact, and evidence of leadership and mentoring activities Postdoctoral Scholarin addition to the requirement for graduate students, evidence of aspiration to advance science You must be a member of this organization to apply for this award - become a member. Must be a member of the Pacific Northwest Association of Toxicologists (PANWAT) or the Midwest Regional Chapter (MRC) in good standing (all dues paid)Ineligibility
