Overview
PAA Impact Award
Status: CURRENTLY ON HOLD — The Impact Award is on hold while PAA evaluates the program. Further information will be available in 2025.
Purpose: To showcase excellence in visual art education with an award to a non-profit organization that impacts youth through contemporary art.
- Award amount: $20,000 - $30,000 (set each year for single recipient)
- Complements grants program by directing funds specifically to youth education non-profits
- Unlike grants, award is not given for specific purpose — organization decides use to continue educational efforts
Program Details
- Awards available to organizations throughout Los Angeles County
- Preference given to Pasadena/San Gabriel Valley based organizations
Geographic Scope
- Only qualified tax-exempt organizations eligible — never individuals
- Programs must be geared toward youth K-12 and older, but NOT college or graduate students
- Organizations cannot apply for both PAA Grant AND PAA Impact Award in same year
- If organization receives Impact Award, cannot apply again for 3 years

- Finalists contacted by Impact Award Committee in early Spring for site visits
- Award recipients announced by June 1
