Selected towns can receive up to $50,000 over 2-3 years, along with expert coaching and training worth over $50,000 annually, fostering sustainable community development.

PA Heart & Soul Description PA Heart & Soul is a unique, resident-led planning initiative that helps Pennsylvania towns under 30,000 residents discover what they value most and turn those insights into lasting action. In partnership with Community Heart & Soul, PA Humanities brings this nationally recognized, humanities-based model to communities across the state. Selected towns join the PA Heart & Soul network and receive up to $50,000 over 2–3 years, plus expert coaching and training valued at more than $50,000 annually. Through a four-phase process—Imagine, Connect, Plan, and Act—residents gather stories, histories, and traditions to create meaningful action plans that reflect their town’s identity.
