Grants & Scholarships Grants power our nonprofit partners on the frontlines of pressing local issues, filling the opportunity gaps through direct-to-people programming. Scholarships support aspiring college students who hold the promise of tomorrow’s progress. Together, our competitive grants and scholarships help our region rise thanks to the vision and generosity of our donors. The Community Foundation offers both need and merit based scholarships. Oristano Scholar Fund II About the Fund The focus of the fund is to provide academic or occupational educational opportunities for motivated Palm Beach County and Martin County high school graduates who plan to continue their education at a four-year university, community college, or vocational school. The targeted student is one who meets the admission standards of the post-secondary institution, but who cannot afford the full cost of attendance and who may not carry the academic record to quality for sufficient financial aid from other sources. In awarding scholarships, preferences should be given to those students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have carried a high school grade point average of no higher than 3.3 unweighted. The scholarship funds may only be utilized for the payment of tuition, books and tuition-related fees.
