Overview

The .ORG Impact Awards is a global awards program celebrating remarkable individuals and organizations leveraging .ORG domains to ignite change and transform communities worldwide. The program has recognized more than 220 outstanding organizations from over 80 different countries since its inception in 2019, awarding more than $600,000 in donations.

Eligibility: Organizations and individuals with .ORG domains working on mission-driven initiatives.

Geographic Scope: Global (organizations from over 80 countries have participated)

Focus Areas: The awards recognize achievements across seven categories:

  • Quality Education for All - Breaking down barriers to education and fostering learning opportunities
  • Health and Healing - Advancing health and well-being through access to care and support
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion - Fostering inclusive and equitable communities
  • Environmental Stewardship - Protecting the planet and promoting sustainability
  • Community Building - Strengthening community fabric and driving local/global change
  • Hunger and Poverty - Combating hunger and reducing poverty with lasting economic opportunities
  • Rising Star - Individuals under age 30 demonstrating leadership and innovative impact
  • .ORG of the Year - Outstanding achievement recognized by PIR (selected from finalist pool)

Award Benefits:

  • Up to $50,000 USD donation to the non-profit of choice for selected individuals and organizations
  • Cash donations also provided to outstanding finalists

  • Finalists invited to in-person gala in Washington DC (travel and accommodations included)
  • Featured across .ORG platforms including videos, articles, and social posts throughout the year

How to Apply

Application Process

Timeline (2025 cycle):

  • May 1: Submissions Open

  • June 19: Submissions Close

  • June 20: Application Processing Begins

  • August 13: Finalists Announced

  • October 8: Winners Announced at Awards Celebration
  • How to Apply:
    1. Visit the awards portal during the submission window (May 1 - June 19 annually)
    2. Submit nomination for your organization or individual
    3. Applications are processed and evaluated by judging panel
    4. Finalists are announced in August
    5. Winners selected and announced at October awards celebration

    Required Materials:

  • Organization/individual information

  • Demonstration of impact and results

  • Evidence of .ORG domain usage

  • Alignment with one or more award categories
  • Note: Submissions for 2025 cycle have not yet opened (as of April 3, 2026 reference date). Organizations can visit the awards portal to review previous entries and prepare for the next submission window.
