Overview

Oral Health Grant Program

Funder: Delta Dental of Idaho

Geographic Scope: Idaho only

Mission: Delta Dental of Idaho's grant program aims to improve the oral health of Idahoans through funding for dental infrastructure, workforce capacity, access to care, and disease prevention.

Objectives

The program objectives are to:

  • Improve the dental infrastructure and workforce capacity in Idaho

  • Improve access to affordable, timely, and high-quality dental health care

  • Reduce oral disease through education, prevention, and treatment
  • Funding Categories

    Grants can be awarded for:

  • Capacity building

  • Capital and equipment

  • Programs and special projects
  • Funding Amounts

    • Range: $25,000 - $100,000 (previous maximums; amounts vary by cycle)
    • Largest award to date: $75,000
    • Minimum and maximum amounts are announced prior to each application cycle opening

    Funding Priorities

    Preference is given to proposals focused on:

  • Increasing access to care in rural Idaho

  • Dental health profession shortage areas

  • Improving oral health among underserved populations
  • Eligibility

    Applicants must:

  • Be a 501(c)(3) public charity exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; OR

  • Be a city, county, public health district, public school district, public charter school, not-for-profit institution of higher education, tribal government, the State of Idaho or an instrumentality of the state, or similar entity or organization that serves the public on a not-for-profit basis

  • Serve individuals in the state of Idaho

    • July 1: Approved grants begin

    How to Apply

    Application Process
