Overall Goal for Community Grants

Promote a community of safety and belonging and positive health across west Cook County. The Foundation will support organizations and collaborative efforts which improve access to and quality of mental and behavioral health for our youth and young adult residents.

**Funding Priorities for 2024/25
**

The Foundation will prioritize proposals that align with our vision, mission and values; and focus on one or more of the following thematic areas:

* Workforce Development: create pathways to a robust, representative workforce of mental and behavioral health professionals
* Access & Treatment: provide early identification and treatment for youth and young adults

Funding Parameters

* Applicants are limited to one application during this grant cycle
* Grant Award Range: up to $20,000 per year
* Grants are awarded for one year
* Grant requests may be awarded with full or partial funding
* Types of Grants: General Operating or Program/Project
* Grant funds provided by the Foundation to your organization, if awarded, are not to be used to discriminate per the Foundation’s non-discrimination policy related to grant making

* To apply, organizations must meet the following criteria:

* The applicant organization is qualified as a 501(c) (3) public charity or the applicant organization is operating under the fiscal agency of an organization that is a qualified 501(c)(3) public charity.
* If a past grantee, is in good standing with the OPRF Community Foundation.
* Serves one or more of the following communities:
* Austin
* Berwyn
* Broadview
* Cicero
* Elmwood Park
* Forest Park
* Galewood
* Maywood
* Melrose Park
* Oak Park
* River Forest
