Status: Active scholarship program

Geographic Scope: Oregon (schools participating in Oregon School Activities Association - OSAA)

Focus Areas: Education; recognizes graduating high school scholar-athletes and activity scholars

Eligibility:

Graduating high school seniors

Academic requirement: 3.50 or higher unweighted cumulative GPA

Activities requirement: Must have either:

- Earned a varsity letter in an OSAA-sanctioned sport, OR
- Competed in an OSAA-sanctioned activity

Must be graduating seniors from OSAA member schools

Award Structure:

Tier 1: $5,000 scholarships (typically 2 recipients)

Tier 2: $1,000 scholarships (typically 4-5 recipients)

Total awards vary by year (2020: $15,000 total for 7 winners; 2021: $14,000 total for 6 winners)

Program Details:

Partnership between OnPoint Community Credit Union and Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA)

Strong response in recent years (2020: 250 applicants from 120 schools; 2021: 320+ applicants from 153 schools)

Selection committee reviews applications carefully

Awards recognize students who excel in classroom, on field/stage, and in their communities
