Olympic Club Foundation General Grants

Mission: Support organized youth athletic programs in the Bay Area, believing that participation in youth sports is an empowering force that teaches valuable life skills including leadership, teamwork, trust, communication, and accountability.

Geographic Scope

Service Area: Bay Area counties including Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma

Eligibility

• Programs serving youth in K-12th grade
• Priority given to programs serving at-risk youth
• Organizations with current 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status or have a fiscal sponsor with 501(c)(3) status
• Organizations must not be classified as a private foundation under Internal Revenue Code Sections 509(a) and 170(b)(1)(A)

Funding Support

Program Support costs including:
• Uniforms and equipment
• Coaching staff
• Facility rentals
• Entrance fees
• Team travel costs
• Player fees for sports teams
• Referees

What We Fund

• Baseball, basketball, volleyball, football, boxing, swimming, soccer, rugby, golf, tennis and other court, field, pool, and ring sports
• Programs serving youth in K-12th grade (priority to at-risk youth)

What We Do NOT Fund

• Applications submitted directly by Unified School Districts
• Collegiate programs
• Administrative and operating costs
• Therapeutic athletic activities
• Academic programs
• Playgrounds
• Non-sports summer camps
• Nutrition programs

Award Information

• Maximum Request: Up to $25,000
• Average Grant (2024-2025): $9,500
• Funds Awarded: Late December (intended for use in 2027)
