Overview

NOTE: Deadline to submit application in JustGrants: May 11, 2026, by 8:59 p.m. Eastern Time This NOFO will support states, local and Tribal jurisdictions to implement prevention and intervention programs and strategies that identify, respond to, treat, and support children, youth, and families impacted by opioid, stimulant, and other substance use disorders. OJP is committed to advancing work that furthers DOJ’s mission to uphold the rule of law, to keep our country safe, and to protect civil rights. OJP provides federal leadership, funding, and other critical resources to directly support law enforcement, combat violent crime, protect American children, provide services to American crime victims, and address public safety challenges, including human trafficking and the opioid crisis. This NOFO will support states, local and Tribal jurisdictions to implement prevention and intervention programs and strategies that identify, respond to, treat, and support children, youth, and families impacted by opioid, stimulant, and other substance use disorders. OJJDP expects applicants to partner with law enforcement, criminal and juvenile justice agencies, schools, mental health service providers, child welfare agencies, community health agencies, and community-based organizations that encounter and address the needs of individuals and families experiencing substance use.
