Overview

About Us The OIV provides grape and wine producing and consuming countries with information to develop regulations, minimise barriers to trade, promote sustainable production and protect consumers. OIV Research Grant Program Within the framework of developing its Strategic Plan, the OIV grants research scholarships in priority programme fields on a yearly basis. Grants offered within the framework of this programme are either 3-year or short-term research grants (six to fifteen months at most) and are provided for specific post graduate training programmes. For the second time, the Consortium of international companies (Familia Torres from Spain, Masi Agricola from Italy, Moët & Hennessy from France, Sogrape from Portugal, Viña Concha y Toro from Chile and Yalumba Family Winemakers from Australia) is contributing, in addition to the OIV’s contribution, enabling the provision of different types of research grants. Research grants in the health domain are selected, assessed, and funded exclusively by OIV, without involvement from any third party. Short-Term Research Grants As part of its Strategic Plan, the OIV may award yearly research scholarships in priority program areas. These short-term grants (six to fifteen months, up to €15,000) support specific postgraduate training programs. Eligible candidates should be highly qualified individuals eager to advance their research and stay updated on the latest developments in their field of study or work.

Eligibility

Eligible candidates:Higher university degree holder wishing to undertake, or pursue, doctoral studies in order to:undertake in-depth research, improve their knowledge and skills.Required degrees:Master’s degree university level or at least +5 years of studies completed with degree obtained, age limit - 40 years old.Candidates must demonstrate that they have a skill enabling them to provide an important contribution for the implementation of the OIV’s Strategic Plan.All proposed research field projects must reflect the strategic objectives and priorities of the program provided by the OIV in accordance with the Strategic Plan.The work associated with the grant is to be carried out at the OIV or in a known research centre, as necessary. The applicant must be under the direct responsibility of a research director. The OIV shall appoint a scientific referrer of one of the OIV’s bodies (secretarial office, expert groups, etc) to monitor the project in collaboration with the research centre.
