Geographic Scope: Ohio statewide, with new pilot program focus on Appalachian Ohio public school districts

Focus Areas:

Academic scholarships for K-12 students

Priority given to students demonstrating greatest financial need

New for 2026: Appalachian Ohio Public School Pilot Project targeting five high-need public school districts in Appalachian Ohio

Pilot project supports expenses for:

- Technology (student computers)
- Graphing calculators for math and science coursework

Eligibility:

Students attending primary and secondary schools (K-12) across Ohio

Priority given to students with greatest financial need

Pilot project targets students in five Appalachian Ohio public school districts selected based on Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) participation

Mission: Dedicated to expanding educational access and opportunity for Ohio students by reducing financial barriers to learning through scholarships and targeted educational support

Funding Mechanism: Supported through Ohio Tax Credit Scholarship Program donations:

Individual contributions up to $750 receive full dollar-for-dollar tax credit

Married couples filing jointly can contribute up to $1,500

Donors receive no-cost gift benefit as contribution is offset by Ohio income tax credit
