NOTE: Applications are accepted year-round; however, funding decisions are made three times a year. Applications are evaluated during quarterly committee meetings based on the following dates:: Q1: Oct. 1 - Jan. 31 (Committee Meeting in March)Q2: Feb. 1 - May 31 (Committee Meeting in July)
Q3: June 1 - Sept. 30 (Committee Meeting in November)
Mission
The OGE Energy Corp. Foundation Inc. provides grants to 501(c)(3) charities to support programs, organizations and institutions that enhance quality of life and economic well-being in the communities where OGE operates.
Supporting Our Communities
The Foundation’s giving programs support nonprofit organizations throughout our service area. In 2022, the financial investments from the Foundation topped $3 million. In addition to our focus on supporting early math and science education, we also support human services, the arts and community development organizations. The Foundation also matches employee contributions to institutions of higher education.
OGE Energy Corp. Foundation Goals
Education - Increase STEM access among elementary and middle school students from low-income and/or underrepresented communities.
Health & Human Services - Improve health and mental health outcomes for individuals and families transitioning out of homelessness, families with low income, and senior citizens.
Community Development - Create opportunities for individuals with low income and/or those in underrepresented communities to strengthen workforce development skills.
Environmental Stewardship - Develop and enhance key community partnerships that promote biodiversity and sustainable water through habitat conservation and education.
Culture and Arts - Provide access to the arts and cultural experiences for families with low income and underrepresented communities.
Eligibility

To qualify for grant funding consideration, your organization must meet the following criteria:Be a U.S.-based IRS 501(c)(3) qualified charitable or educational organization or an accredited K-12 educational institution;Be geographically located where OGE operates;Serve communities without discrimination against any individual on the basis of race, creed, gender, age, sexual orientation or national origin;Have a method by which to measure, track, and report program outcomes and specific results that demonstrate measurable community impact.Ineligibility
The OGE Energy Corp. Foundation Inc. generally does not fund grants for programs and projects associated with, but not limited to, the following:An individual person or familiesBuilding or Capital investments and improvementsDinners, luncheons or other forms of indirect supportOrganizations that are not 501(c)(3) organizationsOrganizations that are not geographically located in an area where OGE operatesPolitical parties or candidatesReligious activities, in whole or in part, for the purpose of furthering religious doctrine.The Foundation will consider funding faith-based organizations which provide services to all clients regardless of denominationSports teams/events such as tournaments (other than Special Olympics)Organizations offering goods or services to employees as a benefit of grant approval (e.g., participation in golf tournaments, reservations at fundraising dinners, tickets to special events, etc.)Focus Areas & Funding Uses
