OCCA Summer Camps - Scholarship

Overview: Scholarship funding for students who wish to attend OCCA summer arts camps but for whom tuition costs are a barrier to participation.

- OCCA Shakespeare Camp
- OCCA Rock 'n' Rolle Camp
- OCCA Creative Arts Camp (K-2nd Grade)
- OCCA Creative Arts Camp (3rd-5th Grade)
Eligible Camps
- Target: Students for whom funds are a barrier to learning
- Grade levels: K-12 (based on camp offerings)
- Behavior expectations: Students must demonstrate sincere interest in theatre arts (regardless of experience level), be eager to attend, and excited to participate. Students with disruptive behavior or excessive absences will not be considered for future scholarships.
- Application review: Applications reviewed in order of receipt
Eligibility
- Scholarship amounts are flexible based on individual need
- Applicants requested to request only the percentage discount needed to make attendance possible
- Funding is limited; goal is to serve as many families in need as possible
- Discount options: 25%, 50%, 75%, or 90%

Required Essay Responses
1. Student's Interest: Explain why your student wants to attend this camp and what makes them excited about this specific opportunity
2. Student Fit: Explain why you believe this camp will be a good fit for your student and what you believe they will gain from attending
3. Financial Need: Briefly explain the circumstances that indicate this student's scholarship need
4. Prior Scholarships: Indicate whether this student has received OCCA scholarships in the past, and if so, for which opportunities
