NOTE: Prequalification is required for all nonprofit organizations seeking grant funding from New York State. Organizations that are not Prequalified at the NYSCA grant application deadline will be ineligible for funding. Please note this process is separate and apart from the NYSCA application. You must first prequalify with State Financial System (SFS) in order to have your NYSCA application considered for funding. See Letter of Inquiry Deadline above. We recommend starting this process as soon as possible. Your prequalification expires annually. Our Mission To foster and advance the full breadth of New York State’s arts, culture, and creativity for all. NYSCA Targeted Opportunities Valuing artists and creative expression, the New York State Council on the Arts offers support to enhance artistic diversity across New York State. The following opportunities are open for application: Folk and Traditional Arts ApprenticeshipsEach award will be $10,000.Rehearsal Space for Performing ArtsGrant Amounts for Rehearsal and Studio Space will be funded in the range of $15,000 to $35,000.Performing Arts ResidenciesGrant Amounts for Performing Arts Residencies will be funded in the range of $15,000 to $35,000.
