Summary
The NYSCA Support for Sponsored Organizations grant provides flexible funding for eligible New York State nonprofit organizations to enhance their arts programming and general operations. Organizations must prequalify with the State Financial System before applying. This initiative aims to support the diverse arts and cultural landscape in New York, ensuring that all communities have access to rich artistic experiences. The grant is intended for organizations that may not yet be incorporated or are part of larger institutions.Overview
NOTE: Prequalification is required for all nonprofit organizations seeking grant funding from New York State. See Letter of Inquiry Deadline above. Organizations that are not Prequalified at the NYSCA grant application deadline will be ineligible for funding. Please note this process is separate and apart from the NYSCA application. You must first prequalify with State Financial System (SFS) in order to have your NYSCA application considered for funding. We recommend starting this process as soon as possible. Your prequalification expires annually. For sponsorees, the Fiscal Sponsor Organization must complete the prequalification and the application. See page for NYSCA Support for Organizations Grant here. Our Mission To foster and advance the full breadth of New York State’s arts, culture, and creativity for all. NYSCA Support for Sponsored Organizations A sponsoree can apply for NYSCA Support for Organizations through an eligible New York State nonprofit organization as its sponsoring organization. The grant is awarded to the fiscal sponsor organization, which then directs the funds to the sponsoree. Examples of organizations that may need to apply through a fiscal sponsor organization include those that are not yet incorporated and arts entities that exist as distinct, independent programs within a parent organization such as a university or social service organization. Arts entities that are part of a college or university must apply as sponsored requests.Eligibility
