Nursing Wellness Coach Program

Geographic Scope: Florida (serves Morton Plant Mease hospital system)

Problem Addressed:
Healthcare workforce burnout rates, turnover, and lack of engagement have surged in recent years. Growing research demonstrates that support within one's workplace may have a greater impact than therapy sought outside or taking mental health days.

Program Description:
This grant funds 10 RNs completing the Certified Nurse Coach program. Support of certified nurse coaches provides the nursing team with on-site support, coping mechanisms, and mentorship from peers.

Goals:

• Help reduce anxiety, stress, and fatigue among nurses
• Invest in nurse wellbeing
• Provide peer support and mentorship
• Improve staff retention and engagement

Target Participants:

• 10 Registered Nurses (RNs)
• Participants in Certified Nurse Coach program

• Morton Plant, Clearwater
• Mease Dunedin
• Mease Countryside, Safety Harbor
• Morton Plant North Bay, New Port Richey
