Overview
The Deaconess Foundation offers Nursing Scholarship Grants aimed at supporting local students pursuing nursing degrees with demonstrated financial need. This program reflects the foundation's mission to enhance community health in Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois. Grants are administered in partnership with the Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis and the St. Louis American Foundation. Eligibility
To be eligible to apply, students must meet the following criteria:Be working towards a nursing degree at an accredited, nonprofit school.Be a permanent resident of one of these counties where Deaconess Foundation focuses its efforts: St. Louis City, St. Louis, Franklin, Jefferson, or St. Charles counties in Missouri or Madison, Monroe, or St. Clair counties in Illinois.Demonstrate significant financial need, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or similar need calculations. Have achieved a minimum cumulative 2.0 grade point average.Be seeking a first associate or a first bachelor’s degree. These grants are renewable through completion of a bachelor’s degree or up to ten semesters.
