NSHSS Social Emotional Learning in the Classroom Grant

The NSHSS Social Emotional Learning in the Classroom Grant aims to support high school educators in enhancing mental health awareness and fostering emotional intelligence among students. With a $1,500 grant, one selected educator can implement Social Emotional Learning resources and curriculum in their classroom, contributing to healthier school environments and empowering students to navigate life's challenges effectively. This initiative aligns with NSHSS's commitment to academic excellence and community betterment.

NSHSS pursues this mission by connecting members with scholarships, college fairs, internships, career and leadership opportunities, partner discounts, and more.
The World Health Organization (WHO) defines mental health as "A state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community." Despite the stigma surrounding mental illness, more individuals are sharing their stories and sparking conversations on the subject. NSHSS wants to aid educators in their positive efforts to spread awareness and affect change regarding mental health in their classrooms. NSHSS is giving one (1) high school educator a $1,500 grant to provide Social Emotional Learning (SEL) resources and curriculum to their classrooms.

Eligibility

Any registered NSHSS Educator that works with high school students in an academic capacity both in the US and internationally.We invite school social workers, counselors, homeschool educators, test prep professionals, teachers, administrators, etc. to register for free as an NSHSS educator and begin applying for NSHSS grants.
