  • Women's Wrestling Program: Started at Southwestern in 2010; officially became part of NJCAA during 2021-22 school year; continues to grow by adding equipment and recruiting student-athletes internationally
  • Men's and Women's Swimming Teams: Started fall 2014; recently finished as national runners-up at 2022 NJCAA Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving National Championship

SWOCC used the $1,000 grant to purchase equipment needed for student-athletes to train and compete at a high level year after year.

Background

The NJCAA Sport Opportunity Grant was created to support the addition and growth of two-year collegiate sports. This was the first time the NJCAA Foundation offered this grant, created as a testament to the importance and growth of two-year collegiate athletics.
