Nicole J. Benjamin Scholarship

The Nicole J. Benjamin Scholarship was founded in 2023 by Past Bar Foundation President John A. Tarantino, Esq. and recognizes President Benjamin's exemplary contributions to the legal community. It aims to support aspiring legal professionals who exhibit leadership potential and a commitment to service to the community.

About the Scholarship: This award honors the legacy of Nicole J. Benjamin and seeks to identify future lawyers who demonstrate the qualities of effective leadership.

Geographic Scope: Rhode Island residents only

Eligibility:

• Rhode Island residents
• Entering first year of law school in September 2026
• Demonstrate leadership potential
• Show commitment to community service
• Must address what makes an effective leader and explain how they possess these qualities

Award Details:

• Amount: $25,000
• Number of Awards: 1 scholarship
• Duration: First year of law school only
• Renewable: Non-renewable

How to Apply

2. Complete the Financial Package Form
3. In your application, address the following:
   • What makes an effective leader?
   • How do you possess the qualities of a good leader?
4. Submit all application materials by the deadline
5. Applications are competitive and based on academic achievement, leadership potential, and commitment to service
