Nicholas R. Rizzi Foundation Grant "Our Mission Is To Provide Educational Grants And Scholarships To Individuals With A Financial Need And A Desire To Further Their Education." The Nicholas R. Rizzi Foundation, Inc., was established in 2005 as a memorial to Nicholas R. Rizzi, who passed away in 2001. It is our belief that education is the key to success. Therefore; earning diplomas, degrees and educational credentials will open doors to opportunities in employment advancement and success. The Foundation provides grants to people with financial needs to enroll in high school diploma or equivalent programs, trade schools or colleges. Applications are considered based on financial needs and as funds are available. The maximum grant is $1000.00 annually to help the student pay tuition for the program, books, and other school related expenses. Grant Criteria The Nicholas R. Rizzi Foundation, Inc. selects recipients for scholarship grants based on the following criteria: Financial need Prior academic performance Work history Completed application material (see following application form) Recommendations from employers, teachers, and clergy. Our Record Of Performance Over the past ten years the Foundation has provided grants and scholarships in the amount of $38,764 to over 75 individuals with a financial need. Our current goal based on current funding is to provide up to $7500 per year in scholarships and grants ranging from $500 to $1,000. We are very proud that our expenses have averaged 12% of contributions which means that $0.88 of every dollar donated is available for funding those scholarships and grants. And, no officer or director of the Foundation receives any compensation of any kind.
