NOTE: Applications are accepted throughout the year with disbursements occurring on a quarterly basis. Newtown Savings Bank Foundation Grant The Newtown Savings Bank Foundation, established in 1998, is a Section 501(c) (3) organization which provides funding to non-profits that support families and individuals with financial need in our communities. Each year the Board of Trustees approves a budget that represents at least 5% of the fund balance at fiscal year end. The Foundation traditionally provides at least one college scholarship donation annually with each of the Bank’s primary communities, and also provides a donation to at least one social service agency annually, usually a food bank, in each primary branch town. Community Support The Foundation looks to support organizations that… provide programs and services to our neighbors who demonstrate financial needare based in towns within our market area or serve neighboring communitiesfocus on affordable housing, economic development, financial education, life skills, and/or vocational training initiativesare innovative and design programs that provide sustainable solutions to issues impacting our community
