Newtown Savings Bank Foundation Grant

The Newtown Savings Bank Foundation Grant supports nonprofit organizations that aid families and individuals in financial need. Annually, it awards at least one college scholarship and donations to community service agencies, including food banks. Since 2005, over $650,000 has been granted to various educational and charitable initiatives within the bank's market area.

NOTE: Applications are accepted throughout the year with disbursements occurring on a quarterly basis.
The Newtown Savings Bank Foundation, established in 1998, is a Section 501(c) (3) organization which provides funding to non-profits that support families and individuals with financial need in our communities.
Each year the Board of Trustees approves a budget that represents at least 5% of the fund balance at fiscal year end. The Foundation traditionally provides at least one college scholarship donation annually with each of the Bank’s primary communities, and also provides a donation to at least one social service agency annually, usually a food bank, in each primary branch town.
