Overview

New Venture Pitch Competition

Overview: A monthly intercollegiate competition that supports the development of entrepreneurial skills required to plan and launch a new business venture.

Sponsor: Wells Fargo and Center for Entrepreneurial Innovation (CEI)

Geographic Scope: Arizona, with focus on Phoenix area through partnership with Venture Café Phoenix

Eligibility:

  • Community college and university students

  • Open to aspiring start-ups

  • Students who do not win funding in one month are eligible to try again in following months
  • Award Amount: $1,000 per month to one winner

    Focus Areas: Business startup development, entrepreneurial skills training

    Supporting Programs:

  • Weekly "Student Entrepreneur Meetup" run by Maricopa Community College District business faculty

  • Mentorship and support provided to help develop pitch decks

  • Part of Venture Café Phoenix ecosystem (weekly Thursday gathering connecting innovators and entrepreneurs)

    Application Process
