NEON District Public Art Program - Artist Micro-Grant

Background: Since the birth of the NEON District in 2013, new murals and sculpture projects have multiplied through the City of Norfolk's Public Art Commission and grassroots community planning. The Downtown Norfolk Council created this Public Art Program, led by the NEON District Committee, to encourage more successful implementation of public art projects in NEON.
Purpose: The program aims to reduce the material and design costs to working artists and provide incentives to property owners and tenants.

Application Process

2. Secure written permission from the property owner
