Overview:
The Neighborhood Strong Home Repair Grant is a program developed by residents as a resource for families in Southeast Grand Rapids. It aims to keep residents in their homes, increase stability for families, provide funding for home repairs, and reduce displacement in the community.

Geographic Scope:

Service area bordered by Burton, Hall, Division, Kalamazoo, and Fuller streets

Focus on Cottage Grove, Boston Square, and Madison Square neighborhoods

Southeast Grand Rapids (49507 ZIP code area)

Focus Areas:
Funding supports critical home repairs including, but not limited to:

Heating and cooling system updates

Roof repairs

Handicap-accessible entrances

Interior and exterior home improvements that impact livability

Eligibility Requirements:

Must live in the service area (bordered by Burton, Hall, Division, Kalamazoo, and Fuller)

Must own your own home

Have a repair that impacts the livability of your home

Meet income restrictions: 100% AMI or less

- Household of 3: $72,200
- Household of 4: $80,200
- Household of 5: $86,700
- Household of 6: $93,100
- Household of 7: $99,500
- Household of 8: $105,900

Grant Terms:

Grants provided with 15%-25% copay by homeowners

Income-dependent funding

Applications accepted on rolling basis
