The Neighborhood Strong Home Repair Grant is a program developed by residents as a resource for families in Southeast Grand Rapids. It aims to keep residents in their homes, increase stability for families, provide funding for home repairs, and reduce displacement in the community.

  • Heating and cooling system updates

  • Interior and exterior home improvements that impact livability

  • Must live in the service area (bordered by Burton, Hall, Division, Kalamazoo, and Fuller)

  • Must own your own home

  • Have a repair that impacts the livability of your home

  • Meet income restrictions: 100% AMI or less

    Launched in April 2018, this partnership between Home Repair Services and Amplify GR has provided over $300,000 to 50+ homeowners since inception. The program was created by residents for residents with the intent to keep homeowners in their homes and combat rising costs of homeownership.
