Overview:
AMP the GOOD is a grant program that funds initiatives supporting projects that build connections and relationships within the Boston Square and Oakdale neighborhoods. The program supports collaborative, neighborhood-led projects intended to enhance the vibrancy and vitality of the community while honoring neighborhood culture, traditions, and values.

Geographic Scope:

• Boston Square neighborhood
• Oakdale neighborhood
• Southeast Grand Rapids (49507 ZIP code area)

Focus Areas:
Funding supports projects that:

• Build community connections and relationships
• Strengthen health, safety, and economy of the local community
• Honor neighborhood culture, traditions, and values
• Enhance vibrancy and vitality of the community

Eligible Projects:
Past funded projects include:

• Community garden development
• Small parks for fellowship and gathering
• Community clean-up initiatives
• After-school programming for neighborhood children
• Collaborative neighborhood-based initiatives

Program History:

• Launched in 2018
• Has funded more than 40 neighborhood-based projects
• Continued as of July 2020 with new round of funding
