Overview

NECA Scholarship Program

Funder: New England Carwash Association (NECA)

Geographic Scope: New England region (Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and surrounding states)

Program History: Since 2011, NECA has awarded 30+ scholarships totaling $43,000+ to deserving members of the NECA community.

    Focus Areas

  • Education support for employees and family members of NECA member companies
  • Post-secondary education in accredited colleges, universities, trade schools, and certificate programs

    Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be: An employee (full or part-time for at least 1 year) OR a direct family member (child or spouse) of an employee of any NECA member company
  • Education requirement: Must have graduated high school or equivalent
  • Enrollment status: Must be enrolled or plan to enroll full or part-time in an accredited college, university, trade school, or certificate program
  • Prior winners: Cannot have won a NECA scholarship in the previous year

    Selection Criteria

    Recipients are evaluated and chosen based on:
  • High school/academic standing
  • Leadership capabilities
  • Community involvement
  • Strength of character
  • Personal achievement
  • Plan of study and future goals
  • Financial need (may be considered)
  • Participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • Career and educational goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances

Special Recognition

Thomas Rando Scholarship: One scholarship awarded annually in memory of Tom Rando (entrepreneur, innovator, and respected industry leader). Awarded to an applicant who embodies Tom Rando's values and talents. Funded by the Rando family.

Award Notification

NECA will notify applicants by mail on or before June 5, 2026.
