NCHBA Educational Scholarships

Overview: Scholarships awarded to family members of NCHBA members pursuing construction-related education.

Geographic Scope: North Carolina

Eligibility:

Recipients: Immediate family members of NCHBA members (children of members)

Educational Level: Four-year college students entering their junior or senior year, OR technical school students entering their second year

Academic Requirements: Must have declared a major in a construction-related field

Selection Criteria: Based on combination of need and merit

Background: Since 2002, NCHBA members and guests have participated in the Builder Classic Golf Tournament to raise funds for scholarships. Over $145,000 has been raised benefiting more than 60 deserving college students. Award amounts have been $3,000 per recipient (with some recipients receiving additional $500 scholarships from NC Professional Women in Building).
