Overview
The National Speleological Society Conservation Grants support cave and karst conservation projects with annual funding of up to $5,000. Grants of up to $1,000 are available for Internal Organizations, Conservation Task Forces, and individual NSS members focusing on scientific research, ecological remediation, and public outreach. These grants are awarded throughout the year, depending on available funds and the number of applications received, promoting active participation in conservation efforts.
The Conservation Committee is authorized to award up to $5,000 annually from the Save-the-Caves Fund to make grants of up to $1,000 to Internal Organizations, Conservation Task Forces, Conservancies, or to individual NSS members for specified projects that involve cave or karst conservation, restoration, or cleanup. The Conservation Committee is responsible for establishing the application , review, and award process.
Conservation Grants are awarded throughout the year, subject to availability of funds and number of applications received.
