Overview
The Education Services Committee recognizes the need and benefit of education for FOP members. This scholarship assists members who may not be in a financial position to attend college or university, particularly when their agency/employer does not have a tuition reimbursement program.- Membership Status: Applicant must be a current FOP member in good standing
- Enrollment: Must be a student in one of the NFOPU-affiliated schools (American Military University, Ashland University, Columbia Southern University, Lewis University, National University, Southern New Hampshire University, Tiffin University, University of Cincinnati, University of Management and Technology, University of Maryland Global Campus, University of San Diego, University of the Cumberlands, Upper Iowa University, Walden University, Wichita State University, Union College)
- Financial Need: Applicant must not be eligible for tuition reimbursement from their agency/employer (verification required)
- Academic Performance: Must complete course with grade of "C" or higher or "PASS"
- Frequency: No member may receive more than one tuition reimbursement scholarship from National FOP in the same year
- Application Timing: All requests must be made within 45 days after completion of the semester

Application Process
1. Complete the Application Form
- Use the officially approved National FOP Tuition Reimbursement Scholarship Form
- Fill out all required fields completely
- Incomplete applications will not be accepted
2. Required Information
- Full name and address
- FOP Lodge state and lodge number
- FOP Member number
- Contact information (phone and email)
- Reason for request
- Description of how the tuition reimbursement scholarship will benefit your lodge, agency, and you
- Name of NFOPU-affiliated college or university you are attending
3. Required Documentation
- Certified grades: Copy of certified grades showing completion of course with "C" or higher or "PASS"
- Receipts: Original receipts for tuition and books paid
- Agency Verification: Documentation verifying you are NOT eligible for reimbursement from your agency/employer
- Transcript: Attach transcript (accepted formats: pdf, txt, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, jpg, jpeg, gif, png; max file size: 5 MB)
4. Certification and Agreement
- Sign and affirm that you have been authorized to make this request
- Pledge that you will attend and participate in the course
- Acknowledge that failure to comply will result in responsibility for repayment of all funds expended by the Grand Lodge
5. Submission Timeline
- Submit within 45 days after completion of the semester for which you are applying
- No exceptions to this timeline
6. Review and Approval Process
- Education Services Committee reviews all requests
- Committee makes recommendation to National President for final approval
- Applicant will be notified of decision
7. Reimbursement
- Reimbursement is made only after successful course completion with qualifying grade
- Submit certified grades and receipts for processing
