Agricultural safety - specifically reducing farm injuries and deaths from tractor rollovers through Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS) installation

  • Provides 70% of the cost of purchasing and installing ROPS

  • Maximum rebate: $865 per tractor

  • Background:
Rollover Protective Structures (ROPS) are proven to be 99% effective in preventing injury and death when used with a seatbelt during tractor overturns, or 70% effective without a seatbelt. Tractor rollovers are the leading cause of death on farms according to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. More than half of all tractors in use in Wisconsin lack this protection.
