Overview

NAMM Foundation The NAMM Foundation advances active participation in music making across the lifespan by supporting scientific research, philanthropic giving and public service programs. NAMM Foundation-College Music Society Fellows Program Award Details A cash award of $500 given one time to selected college music faculty to help offset travel expenses.Join the growing class of College Music Fellows connected to the Music Products Industry.Attend professional development sessions, networking events, receptions, concerts and special events.Access The NAMM Show music products trade show floor. The Program The NAMM Foundation-CMS Fellows will attend NAMM-curated sessions and industry panels on the music products industry, music technology, music business, and internship and career opportunities for students. Fellows will participate in the GenNext program, which convenes 2,500+ college music students and faculty for career exploration workshops and events. Additionally, Fellows will have opportunities to attend professional development sessions, networking events, and a special faculty mixer hosted by The NAMM Foundation. Fellows are encouraged to explore the tradeshow floor and to network with industry professionals. Following The NAMM Show, NAMM-CMS Fellows will continue to participate as members of the Fellows Alumni by: completing NAMM Foundation’s post-event survey, submitting proposals for presentation as part of GenNext, encouraging students to attend The NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA, and by educating colleagues and administration about the benefits of bringing students to The NAMM Show.

Eligibility

You can learn more about this opportunity by visiting the funder's website. Applicant must be currently employed as a faculty member at a post-secondary educational institution (trade school, two-or-four-year college or university music program), with plans for continued  employment through the academic year.The program seeks representation from each region of The College Music Society, as well as its international members.Candidates with significant music industry experience will be considered for the Fellows Mentoring program, which occurs in tandem with the Fellows Program and provides funding for up to three Fellows Mentors.Fellows are responsible for their own transportation and housing arrangements. You must be a member of this organization to apply for this award - become a member. Applicant must be a current member of The College Music Society (CMS).

Ineligibility

Awards are given once and are not renewable; recipients are not eligible to reapply for the same award.
