Lamond GenNext Award Grant

The Lamond GenNext Award, provided by the NAMM Foundation, supports students enrolled in college or technical programs related to music and entertainment technology. Awardees receive a $750 stipend and a badge for The NAMM Show, facilitating valuable networking and professional development opportunities. Eligible applicants must be sophomores or higher with a minimum GPA of 3.0, and the application cycle opens on April 21, closing on September 8.

NAMM Foundation
The NAMM Foundation tackles the challenges of career mobility within the music products industry.
The Lamond GenNext Award supports students enrolled in a two- or four-year college, university, or technical program and are preparing for a career in the music, sound, and entertainment technology industry.
The Lamond GenNext Award honors college students who demonstrate excellence in the field of music (from performance to business to event technology, etc.).
Award Details
Selected applicants will receive a complimentary badge to attend The NAMM Show as well as a $750 stipend to help offset expenses to travel to The NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA, Jan. 20-24, 2026. Award recipients participate in professional development sessions, networking, and special events, as well as have access to the tradeshow floor to explore music products, pro audio, and live event technology exhibits.

Eligibility

RequirementsMust be enrolled for the Fall 2025 semester at a two-or-four year college or music (education, performance, business), sound or event technology program. Note if you are graduating in the Summer 2025 or at the end of Fall 2025 you are still eligible to apply.Must be a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student.
Have an overall 3.0 or higher GPA.

Ineligibility

This is a one-time award. Past award winners are not eligible to reapply.
