About
The National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NAFC) is the only nonprofit 501c(3) organization whose mission is solely focused on the issues and needs of the medically underserved throughout the nation and the more than 1,400 Free and Charitable Clinics that serve them. The NAFC has earned the Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar and a 4-Star rating from Charity Navigator. Founded in 2001 and headquartered near Washington, D.C., the NAFC is working to ensure that the medically underserved have access to affordable quality healthcare and strives to be a national voice promoting quality healthcare for all.
Advancing Women’s Health - Cancer Care Prevention, Screening & Diagnosis
This initiative is made possible through the generosity of Direct Relief and BD and administered by the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NAFC). This year, free or charitable clinics, charitable pharmacies or state associations who are members in good standing of the NAFC will be eligible to request $50,000 to support the establishment or expansion of women's health services, specifically targeting cancer prevention, screening and/or diagnosis.
Examples:
Examples of Cancer Care funding include HPV Vaccinations, Workforce Capacity, Women's Health Medications, Technology, Medical Supplies, Diagnostic Tests, Diagnostic Equipment, Reproductive Health Supplies, Contraceptive Products, Training/Certification Support, Mammograms, Mammography Equipment, etc.

Awardees will receive one $50,000 from the NAFC; the funding will depend on the scope of the project and related budget justification, covering a one-year period from its receipt. Awardees will provide a 6-month and 12-month online report to the NAFC that will be measured against metrics submitted in the original proposal.
