About Us Music Drives Us (MDU) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that strives to inspire New England’s musicians of tomorrow by supporting their music opportunities today. With a focus on underserved communities, MDU sets the stage for success by ensuring children across New England have access to quality music education. Grants by Music Drives Us At Music Drives Us, our mission is to preserve music education and produce musical opportunities for all communities throughout New England. We strive to accomplish our mission by offering grants to individuals and organizations. The maximum amount that Music Drives Us grants is $10,000. Organizational Grant Through its Organizational Grants, Music Drives Us will provide support to institutions that have either seen dramatic cuts in funding for musical education or are unable to fund a music program within their institution. These institutions include public & private school systems, charter schools, hospitals, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, YMCAs, and Boys & Girls Clubs.
