NOTE: NOTE: The Morris Stulsaft Foundation is only accepting applications from returning grantees at this time. Purpose of the Foundation Dedicated to the well-being of Bay Area children and youth. We fund organizations with strong and effective leadership that prepare children and youth from low-income households for fulfilled and productive lives. Pathways to Work (serves ages 15 to 24) The foundation believes that early work experience is a predictor of long-term employment as an adult and is achieved by: Providing hands-on job experiences Meeting youth where they are and providing comprehensive support to ensure young people gain meaningful employment, develop soft skills, and understand the culture or work Connecting youth to fields in which there are current job opportunities and career ladders, including, but not limited to, construction, healthcare, and technology Programs must provide or connect youth to paid work experience and teach soft skills. Strong applicants will provide programs leading to careers in which there are current and emerging job sectors in the Bay Area, offer youth paid employment opportunities as part of the program, and connect program participants with industry leaders or a network of program alumni to further their professional development.Eligibility

Grants are geographically limited to organizations headquartered in and serving the counties of Alameda, Marin, San Francisco, and west Contra Costa.The Foundation considers capital requests by invitation only. Only one request from an organization will be funded in a 12-month period.Organizations may receive funding for up to three consecutive years.After three consecutive years of funding, an organization must take a one-year break before submitting a new application.Please note that receiving one grant is not a commitment to future funding.Partnerships with high schools and community colleges that provide work-based learning and/or apprenticeships will be considered.Ineligibility
The Foundation does not award grants to individuals or independent schools. The Foundation does not support conferences, events, endowments, fund development, or deficit reduction.The Foundation does not support psychological services to individuals or case management services.The Foundation does not make multi-year grants, but subsequent requests may be considered.Focus Areas & Funding Uses
