Overview

MSBSS Graduate Student Research Award The Molecular and Systems Biology Specialty Section (MSBSS) is pleased to request submissions for the MSBSS Graduate Student Research Award. Applicants must be full-time graduate students at the award submission deadline, graduate student members (accepted or pending) of SOT, and be a member of MSBSS by the time the award is presented. The research reported in the abstract must have been conducted while the author was engaged in a mentored graduate research position, although the author may or may not still be in the graduate position at the time of the meeting. Four awards will be made: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, plus a travel award, with a monetary award and a certificate/plaque at the MSBSS reception during SOT. All three research awardees will be invited to showcase their research by giving a presentation sponsored by MSBSS later in the year. The travel award winner will be provided funds to help offset the cost of attending the Annual Meeting. Receipts must be provided for all disbursement requests. Meeting attendance is required to receive this travel award. Applications will be judged on their relevance and novelty to molecular or systems toxicology, logic and flow, hypothesis, approach, experimental methods or model, results, and discussion of findings.
