Money-Back Guarantee Program

Status: Enacted by Florida Legislature in 2021 through the Reimagining Education and Career Help (REACH) Act

Geographic Scope: Florida (Daytona State College designated programs)

Focus Areas: Career-focused healthcare and wellness programs

Eligible Programs:

Radiography

Respiratory Therapy

Dental Hygiene

Program Overview:
Students who complete a designated program, meet all program and professional requirements, and are not employed in their field within six months after graduation are eligible to request a refund for tuition paid. Only tuition is reimbursed (tuition minus institutional scholarships/grants); textbooks, supplies, and other fees are not included.

Eligibility Criteria:

Must successfully complete entire program per program expectations

Must meet minimum attendance requirements specified by program

Must pass all required professional credential exams:

- Dental Hygiene: National Board Dental Hygiene Examination, ADEX Dental Hygiene Examination (Clinical and Computer Simulated), Florida Laws and Rules Examination
- Radiography: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) examination
- Respiratory Care: National Board for Respiratory Care (NRBC) Written Examination and Clinical Simulation Exam

Must be in good financial standing with Daytona State

Must be legally eligible for employment in the U.S.

Must successfully pass background checks and drug screening required by employers

Must be willing to travel or relocate for employment

Must have documented job search of at least 20 different positions/applications with rejections/denials

Must meet with Career Services within three months of program completion for:

- Resume building
- Portfolio development
- Job search assessment
- Interview preparation

Must develop and meet benchmarks in a career plan

Must apply within 240 days (6 months job searching + 60 days to apply) after degree conferral

Cannot be enrolled in upper-level stackable programs after completion

Eligibility Window: Must apply no later than 240 days after the date the degree is conferred

Required Documentation:
1. Evidence of program completion with all requirements met
2. Proof of passing required professional credential exams
3. Documented job search showing at least 20 applications to related positions
4. Evidence of rejections/denials from positions
5. Career Services meeting completion records (within 3 months of graduation):
- Resume review
- Portfolio development
- Job search assessment
- Interview preparation
6. Developed career plan with met benchmarks
7. Proof of good financial standing with Daytona State
8. Evidence of legal employment eligibility
9. Background check and drug screening results
