Overview: The Modesto Rotary Club Foundation aims to help organizations stretch and have bigger impact in Modesto by supporting game-changing work across all program areas.

Geographic Scope: Modesto, CA. Organizations based outside Modesto may apply as long as proposed projects directly and exclusively benefit Modesto.

Assist vulnerable families

Program development/expansion

Innovation

Technology and equipment

Eligibility

Successful applicants must be:
• Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations
• Local government agencies
• Faith-based organizations

Applicants must demonstrate:

Community need

History of and/or commitment to working in Modesto

Logical, reasonable, and measurable goals, objectives, outcomes, and evaluation methods

Feasibility and capacity to complete project within the one-year grant period, including timeline and budget

Sustainability of the project after the grant period

What They Don't Fund

• Fundraising event sponsorships (golf tournaments, gala dinners, awards luncheons, etc.)
• Individual sports teams (youth/amateur sports teams)
• Individuals
• Religious organizations for religious purposes
• Partisan political activity
• Operational expenses or existing financial deficits
• School fundraising projects

Application Review Timeline

Applications are reviewed on a quarterly basis with the following dates of consideration:
• July 15th for August consideration
• October 15th for November consideration
• January 15th for February consideration
• April 15th for May consideration

Award Amounts

Grant levels vary from year to year. Award amounts are based on:
• Proposed project budget
• Scope of project
• Capacity of organization to successfully execute the project
