Fellowships in Modeling, Simulation, and Training The Link Foundation proudly offers a 1 Year Renewable Fellowships of $35,000 for PhD students in areas that Modeling, Simulation, and Training. The Link Foundation Modeling, Simulation, and Training Program was put in place with the following objectives: To foster advanced level research in modeling, simulation, and trainingTo enable Ph.D. students the freedom to work on their research full timeTo disseminate the results of that research through conferences, journals, and other publications. Funding The award consists of a one-year fellowship of $35,000 to be used for the Fellow’s academic year and summer stipend. Funding for year 2 is possible, but will be evaluated competitively and is contingent upon satisfactory progress in year 1. Fellows will be required to prepare a formal report describing their activities due by September 1 following the expiration of the fellowship. Examples of charges not considered appropriate include: Tuition – it is expected that the Fellow’s institution will waive or assume tuition charges Summer salary or other compensation for the research advisor Pooled or overhead costs, and salary for support staff (e.g., secretarial or clerical help) Set asides for research expenses rather than paying the whole amount as a stipend Fellows must be enrolled on a full-time basis for the duration of the award. Fellowships are awarded to students who devote full-time to their research projects for the entire fellowship period (e.g., they are not actively working elsewhere in addition their proposed research).Eligibility
