Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Program
Procurement program for small minority and women-owned firms to perform on state-funded contracts. Only the work of a certified MBE, performing as a subcontractor or a prime contractor, can be counted toward achievement of an established contract goal. MBE certification is performed by the Office of Minority Business Enterprise which is housed within the Maryland Department of Transportation.
