Overview

Note: Prequalification is required for all not-for-profit organizations seeking grant funding from New York State. Notification of intent to apply should be made to the Local Governmental Unit (county director of community services) for each county to be served under the program application, as defined in Section 41 of the New York State Mental Hygiene Law. Proof of this notification is required to be uploaded in SFS. All questions or requests for clarification concerning the RFP shall be submitted in writing to the Issuing Officer by e-mail, by the due date indicated above for Letter of Inquiry. New York State Office of Mental Health The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) oversees a large multi-faceted mental health system serving nearly 800,000 individuals each year. This includes operating 23 psychiatric centers and overseeing the Nathan S. Kline Institute and New York Psychiatric Institute. OMH regulates and certifies more than 6,500 programs operated by local governments and nonprofit agencies. Mission Our mission is to promote the mental health of all New Yorkers, with a particular focus on providing hope and recovery for adults with serious mental illness and children with serious emotional disturbances. MH253020 Ukraine Refugee Health Program Many Ukrainians are arriving in the United States with immediate as well as long-term mental health needs. It is critical that mental health providers serving Ukrainian arrivals be knowledgeable of the culture and unique challenges faced by refugees and asylum seekers. The Office of Mental Health announces funds for the following efforts to support Ukrainian arrivals: The promotion of health literacy coordination of mental health services facilitation of wellness group activities Applicants must identify the county or counties they intend to serve in their application.
