Metallica Scholars Initiative (MSI) — CCSNH trades equipment scholarships

The Metallica Scholars Initiative includes a $50,000 grant from Metallica's All Within My Hands Foundation to the Community College System of New Hampshire — the second year in a row CCSNH is the only institution in the Granite State to receive the funding. The Foundation for New Hampshire Community Colleges administers the grant, which 'awards financial assistance to students to offset the cost of specialized equipment, materials, protective gear, or other degree-specific equipment.' Nearly 90 students were supported in one fall with scholarships for specialized equipment required for programs in Aviation Technology, Massage Therapy, Culinary Arts and Welding. AWMH's seventh MSI year is its largest to date at approximately $3 million across 75 colleges in all 50 states and Guam, expected to reach about 10,000 students.

Registered students at any of New Hampshire's seven community colleges apply through the general application at GiveNHCC.org/scholarships — one application is considered for dozens of opportunities regardless of major, GPA, financial need, or part-/full-time status.
