Jenness Marden Scholarship (Foundation for NH Community Colleges)

The Jenness Marden Scholarship provides need-based financial assistance to Granite State students who are veterans of the U.S. military or the children or grandchildren of veterans. It was created by an anonymous donor — a close friend and former colleague of Amy Bourgault, who served as executive director of the NH Community Colleges Foundation from 2006 to 2014 and passed away in March 2021. The name comes from two of New Hampshire's founding families, the Jenness and Marden families, who arrived in the 1600s at what became Rye, New Hampshire. The page directs applicants to GiveNHCC.org/scholarships and states no dollar amount or deadline.

Registered students at any of New Hampshire's seven community colleges apply through the general application at GiveNHCC.org/scholarships — one application is considered for dozens of opportunities regardless of major, GPA, financial need, or part-/full-time status.
