Mercyhealth Ethnic Minority Nursing Scholarship Grant

The Mercyhealth Ethnic Minority Nursing Scholarship offers three $2,000 scholarships to ethnic minority individuals pursuing a nursing degree in northern Illinois. Applicants must be fluent in Spanish and maintain a 3.0 GPA. Selection is based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, volunteer work, and financial need. This initiative, funded by the Mercyhealth Volunteer Association, aims to support diversity in nursing and improve healthcare access within the community.

MercyCare Health Plans offers a variety of plans to meet your needs.
Three $1,000 scholarships are available to ethnic minority individuals pursuing a nursing degree and residing in Mercyhealth’s northern Illinois service area. Students must also be fluent in Spanish. Must have obtained and maintained a grade point average of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 in related studies. Scholarships will be awarded based on an individual’s academic standing, extracurricular activities, volunteer efforts and financial need. This scholarship is funded by the Mercyhealth Volunteer Association of Northern Illinois.
